Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, particularly acclaimed for her critically acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was the daughter of an U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s, she began professional dancing and performed at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. In Minnesota she was employed at a regional theater, where her role was in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a comedy documentary that focused on beauty magazines. She moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with an innocent, but funny contestant. From June 1951 until September 22, 1962 she was married to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began following the signing of an MGM contract in the late 1940s. Her work was noticed by actress and model Norma shearer. Leigh was a star in a variety of cult films over the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from 1960) and Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
