Comaneci is also engaged in a range of causes, and has been an active member of both the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association board of directors and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. She has also continued to help a variety of charitable organizations within her home country of Romania which includes the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital in Bucharest.
