Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. As well as BJJ classes She also took classes in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd was able to continue building upon her victory at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She knocked out all her opponents within the first round. She then returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd recovered from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record up to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by the first round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 was her first bout in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the 2nd. When she next faced Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the first round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and each fighter getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her streak of winning. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya after the third round of UFC at ESPN 7. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
