Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first amateur appearance at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was on a stunning 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent right in the first round. After that, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen by unanimous decision. This put a stain on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record up to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 when she signed as a player with Invicta FC. At InvictaFC 11, she had her first professional bout. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta Combat Championships 16, She won the following match against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to defeat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd did not make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the second round by TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimity. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came in UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round in the second. She maintained her dominance and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd was victorious at the start of round one, and was awarded the Performance of the Night Bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first big fight. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters getting their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her winning streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. In a match that was a replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
