Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her debut as an amateur at the age of 18, at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of all fights. She then went back to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen a unanimous defeat and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a professional. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by the first round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and won via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen used her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy as a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd was not able to weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in 2nd round via TKO. In her last fight for the promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She took on Linalansberg in UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round at the end of the second. She repeated her dominance and picked up a more stunning victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd won the fight in the first round and was awarded the performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she had in any major capacity. The two fighters had a close fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in the third at UFC 7 on ESPN. In a match that was a replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was a unanimous decision.
