Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after her win, and she won three bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated in the 1st round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's amateur career. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen started her professional career in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen continued to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, but Aspen won and beat Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina through the ground and pound strategy, resulting in a TKO second-round victory. The next time she fought Tonya Evinger in UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd beat Evinger by a punch in the opening round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first major match. Ladd took home by a unanimous decision following some great exchanges among the pair of fighters got the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by unanimous verdict.
