Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14. She studied boxing, kickboxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all during the first round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first bout as a Bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd did not have enough weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. As for her final fight for the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round later in the 2nd. In her next fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received the reward for her performance on the evening. Her first fight of note came with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters put up an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters getting the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost by unanimous decision.
