Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She plays for Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings with the fifth overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born February 2nd 1997, Milwaukee Wisconsin. Parents Yolanda Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26 year old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years older. She was the youngest child in her family and her parents took care of her to the max. Gregory his father worked with the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from a family with ties to the sports world. Her mother Yolanda played softball at DePaul as was her brother Dare was once football player. Her aunt played volleyball at UAPB and their cousin Endia Oliver too plays Volleyball at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale has been on the list of honors at her school three years in a row. The school also recognized her for her accomplishments in high school, including various awards. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in her hometown. Alongside her studies, Arike played three teams on the varsity level while she was at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School. Ogunbowale led her team to a number of impressive wins thanks to her incredible skills several times. In her high school career, she has started 73 times and has 1 477 points total. In addition, she has 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale competed in 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA World U17 Championships 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships which she took home gold medals. On 7 July 2014, Ogunbowale was named to the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also part of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her first season in a college. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale after his NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale is a promising basketball player that has proved to be a great star. Arike Ogunbowale is said to be worth $5 million, according to an unnamed source. Although a basketball player Ogunbowale is a pro in other sports as well. She is an active soccer player. She has won three State Cup titles for Lake County United Soccer Club, and 1 State Cup title at FC Milwaukee Soccer Club. She also studied piano for seven years.
